In England and Wales, sprigs of Rosemary were traditionally used in funerals and worn pinned to clothing and accessories to support the grieving process after the loss of a loved one. In some traditions, sprigs of Rosemary were placed on coffins before they were buried. This was a symbol to all spirits – both living and those who had passed on to other realms – that the dead would never be forgotten and live on in our memories.”

Thank you for your inspiring article and approach. I recently watched an interview of amazing herbalist Henriette Kress about Elecampane. She says : "Elecampane is special. It's very grounding, and it's good for coughs and good to get long-term stuff out of the lungs. And it's good for digestion. And whenever there's grief, I give a tea with rose and elecampane and lavender or lemon balm or whatever I have. But those two are the base of any grief tea I make."
I only knew about Elecampane's cleaning action on the lungs but it's interesting when you know that Traditional Chinese Medicine associates the lungs with sadness and grief. Take care. Valérie.
